Prayer letter – September 2010
Dear Brethren:
We thank God to let us serve Him in His labor. Thank you for being faithful to pray for us.
It's been seven months since we started our first service in the city of Trujillo - Peru.
Every day we are more excited to serve the Lord and thank Him because the neighborhood has received well the presence of a Baptist church in the area.
In July we had to move to another place, but the Lord in His grace gave us an apartment to live and a place to have our services. We are now almost 3 blocks away from the other place. Before we were in front of an avenue, now we are 1 block away from the avenue, but we are in front of a future park.
God has touched the hearts of the neighbors and we have very good attendance at Children Bible Clubs in the two parks, one on Saturday morning and other in afternoon. Every week we are seeing more interest in children, they are learning Bible Stories and many of them are saved now.
The first Sunday of September we had two classes in Sunday School. We had 15 children of 3-7 years old and 6 children of 8-12 years, but some were absent.
Older children are using the program of http://www.kingskidsclubs.org, this is a good material for discipleship.
The Jehovah's Witnesses are constantly visiting the area and charismatic influence makes difficult to work with adults.
Pray for a sister whose husband attends a group for 25 years, this group believes that the aliens brings God's message. The father of another sister is 90 years old and he is atheist. Pray for their salvation.
In the area where we're renting there are many lands for sale and we see the need to pray for a land to build the house of our God.
Thank God on March 2 we got 25 years of marriage and with God's help this month we will have a "vow renewal ceremony" for our Silver Wedding Anniversary.
Thank you for your prayers and offerings. Our ministry is a ministry of faith and it is supported financially by the generosity of churches and brethren who allow us preach the gospel to every creature.
Pray for:
- Our soulwinning program to have more people saved.
- Provision to buy material for Sunday School and Bible Clubs.
- Continue the admission process to an American mission agency.
- Getting American church supporters interested in visit them to raise prayer and financial support.
- For my wife and I health.
